Connecting in Conflict: From Polarization to Togetherness
How conflict can become an opportunity for deeper closeness
06-09 May 2027
With CNVC certified trainer and mediator Yoram Mosenzon (Connecting2life)
In English, with consecutive translation into German
For many people, conflict is something to avoid, fear, suppress, or win. Yet conflict can also be one of the most meaningful opportunities we have: an opportunity to understand ourselves more deeply, to truly get to know another person, to build trust, to heal old wounds, and to discover new possibilities together.
In school, most of us learned mathematics, history, and languages, yet very few of us learned how to navigate human relationships, disagreements, hurt, anger, disappointment, or differences of opinion.
This workshop is dedicated to learning the art of dialogue: how to stay connected when it matters most, how to transform conflict into cooperation, and how to create relationships that are both honest and caring.
Navigating Conflict as a Core Skill
No matter where I travel in the world, one thing is always the same: every human being experiences conflict.
Some people express it loudly. Others keep it hidden. Yet all of us encounter moments of frustration, misunder-standing, disappointment, hurt, fear, and tension.
We experience conflicts with our partners, children, parents, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and sometimes even within ourselves.
The question is not whether conflict will happen.
The question is: What do we do when it does?
Can conflict become a doorway to deeper understanding rather than distance?
Can differences become a source of creativity rather than separation?
From Polarization to Togetherness
One of the greatest challenges of our time is polarization.
Whether in intimate relationships, families, organizations, communities, or politics, we often become stuck in opposing opinions. Each person or group is convinced that they are right and the other is wrong, and dialogue slowly turns into debate, defensiveness, persuasion, or withdrawal.
Whether it is a couple struggling to decide which school to send their child to, or nations disagreeing about how to respond to climate change or AI, the challenge is fundamentally the same: we need to find ways to work together.
When we remain at the level of opinions, we easily experience one another as opponents. Separation grows, and we all become more alone.
In this workshop, we will practice how to move beyond the level of opinions and polarization and enter a dialogue that allows togetherness, understanding, compassion, creativity, and cooperation to emerge.
We will Explore and Practice
❀ How to connect in conflict and transform it into deeper trust, understanding, and creativity
❀ How to navigate differences of opinion without losing connection
❀ The power of empathy and its ability to transform relationships and dialogues
❀ How to express yourself honestly without blame, criticism, or judgment
❀ How to work with inner conflicts and competing parts within yourself
❀ How to stand for what matters to you while staying connected to others
❀ How to transform polarization into cooperation and shared purpose
And much more…
About Nonviolent Communication (NVC)
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a practical approach to communication, conflict resolution, mediation, coaching, and personal development.
Used throughout the world in organizations, businesses, schools, prisons, families, communities, and intimate relationships, NVC offers concrete tools for creating understanding, cooperation, and connection.
At its heart, NVC helps us transform the way we speak and listen so that even difficult conversations can become opportunities for understanding, healing, and collaboration.
NVC takes you from your meditation cushion into real life – it helps you live your deepest values in relationships and in countless day-to-day situations.
It can profoundly transform the way you communicate with yourself and others, moving it toward a quality of deep compassion.
You will be invited to work on examples from your own life in an interactive and safe learning environment. We will practice Nonviolent Communication through demonstrations, role-play and exercises in order to integrate NVC values and language more into our daily lives.
The way we teach is: 30% Theory and 70% of Practice/Demonstration/Learning from LIVE situations that are happening in the here and now. Our focus is very much on the Embodied aspect of ‘Nonviolent Communication’, so be ready to dive.
